Rx Chocloate |
I am in search of the perfect recipe. Basically, Coffee Brownies. Why not take the two things I love the most and put the together? I found this, compliment of the Millstone website.
Quick Coffee Fudge A quick and easy recipe that tastes as good as Grandma's. Ingredients1 pound confectioners' sugar1/2 cup cocoa1/4 tsp. salt6 tbsp. butter, cut into six pieces1/4 cup strong, brewed Millstone® Coffee (use 1 1/2 tbsp. per serving)2 tsp. vanilla1 cup chopped pecans
InstructionsStir together sugar, cocoa and salt in a heavy saucepan. Add butter and coffee. Heat over low flame, stirring until butter is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread into a buttered 8" x 8" pan. Chill until set and cut into small squares.Makes 36 pieces
But, it's fudge, not brownies. It's not the same. I want to hear what you think is the perfect recipe as I continue my quest for my brownie Rx. |

Helpful tips along my journey for the perfect brownie:
"OOh... you know the wonderful brownie recipes that call for melted semi seet chocolate and sweet condensed milk? Cute the Chocolate serving inhalf and metl it down in a half cup of cold coffee in a saucepan, then add that to the brownie mixture. It works with about any recipe that takes melted chocolate in it, but dont put nuts, it will distry the coffee taste."
Thanks Stacee, I'm getting closer, I can practically taste it. Wait, no, that's my brownie chuckls floating in my cup, lol
